A Summer of Writing

It is interesting to stand back and look at the greater picture and reflect upon one’s work. So far, I am nearing the end of my “great work” which you do not know the title of, and yes, there is a title.

Standing back, I see the plot-lines maturing and others still seeking that magic twist. Some ideas have not even blossomed yet, but overall this roller-coaster of ideas has a direction, no matter how contorted the road.

So, now that it is summer and I have more time on my hands, I have began to look at the shape of my work, and see themes of loss and condolence running alongside the theme of hope and expectation.

However, what makes my work all the more interesting to me, when I look at its long course, I notice that the beginning is much more unfinished than the later part. Thus I look at what I have written and see a great opportunity, and what I make of the time I find this summer is just one of the journeys of writing.
